Luxury Synthetic Wig | Curated Product Guide
Everything you need to style, detangle, and maintain your Luxury Synthetic hair — from mannequin heads to heat tool settings.
At SPARX, our mission is to make your wig life a total breeze. For many of you, this is your first time wearing hair — exciting, but also a little overwhelming! Like anything, the right tools can make all the difference between an easy wig routine and a frustrating one.
Below is our curated list of must-have products to keep your Luxury Synthetic wig looking and feeling its best. ❤️
Tools for Success
- Petite Rubber Mannequin Head — We call this "home base." It's petite, so it won't stretch out your wig, and the rubber base lets you secure your wig with sewing pins while keeping the natural dome shape of the head.
- Clamp or Tripod
- A clamp is ideal for low-maintenance wig wearers.
- A tripod is ideal for human hair wigs or anyone who likes to style their hair regularly.
- Sewing Pins — Unlike T-pins, sewing pins won't pull the hair when you brush your wig.
- Wet Brush — The flexible design lets you brush through your wig quickly and gently, without pulling on hair or knots that can cause shedding.
- Teasing Brush — Makes it easy to redirect knots and hair, so "setting" your wig is a breeze.
- Curling Iron — BioIonic Style Winder — We love this one because you can easily alternate curls, and the heat settings can be set low.
- Beachy waves (loose & bouncy): 1.5"–2" barrel
- Glamorous curls (wavy & curly): 1"–1.25" barrel
- Tight curls: 3/8"–3/4" barrel
- Flat Iron — BioIonic OnePass — We love this one because the heat settings can be set low. Ideal temperature for our Luxury Synthetic hair is 285–305°F (140–150°C). We're also obsessed with the L'Oréal Steampod — just work fast! See the tutorial here.
- Hot Rollers — Ideal for our Luxury Synthetic and Heat Friendly hair, especially if you curl your hair regularly. For best results, use our oven technique — yes, the oven! See our full guide on how to curl a synthetic wig using this method.
- Water Bottle — We prefer a continuous spray bottle, since it lightly mists the hair evenly.
- Kenra Blow Dry Spray — Great protection with no product buildup.
- Luxury Synthetic Care Products — Lightweight shampoos and conditioners work best. Our favorites:
- Marie Nila Softening
- Redken All Soft
We know this looks like a lot, but the right tools really do make your wig life so much easier!
