Can I Wear a Wig If I Have Hair?
Yes, you can wear a wig even if you still have hair — here's how to prep your natural hair underneath for a comfortable, secure fit, plus where to go if you're unsure about sizing.
Yes — if you have hair, you can absolutely still wear a wig. We've gone to great lengths to make sure our wigs are breathable and flexible, so if you have bio hair, you'll stay comfortable. Our wigs are designed not to pull or tug on what's underneath.
How to Prep Your Bio Hair Before Applying Your Wig
- Using a small elastic hair tie, wrap your hair into a low ponytail.
- Twist your hair once or twice, then flip it up. Using a no-slip curved barrette, clip it in place just below the crown of your head — about halfway down from the top.
- For extra security and cushioning, try FirmGrip, our breathable wig grip. It grips both your head and your wig without any painful pulling.
Not Sure What Size Is Right for You?
We offer two cap sizes in our headband wigs and five cap sizes in our lace front wigs. Sizing matters more than people expect — a cap that's too small can cause tension headaches, while one that's too big can slip and leave you feeling insecure. Even a quarter-inch difference can be the line between "secure" and "not quite right."
If you're not sure where you land, our Fit Kit lets you try different cap sizes and colors at home before committing — no guesswork required. For the full walkthrough on measuring and ordering, see How to Measure Your Head for a Wig.
